We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong proficiency in CAD tools and a solid background in prototyping, GD&T, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production.

What You'll Do

  • Design 3D and 2D models of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and Fusion 360.

  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and dimensional accuracy.

  • Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and industrial design teams for integrated product development.

  • Develop and execute prototyping, tolerance stack-up, and DFM/DFS (Design for Serviceability) reviews.

  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to optimize part cost, material selection, and production methods.

  • Conduct design validation testing and iterative improvements based on feedback.

  • Create and maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, and documentation for production.

  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts on existing designs.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 2–5 years of relevant industry experience (product design, manufacturing, or mechanical systems).

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar CAD tools.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) standards.

  • Experience with prototype fabrication, CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal/plastic part design.

  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or thermal/mechanical simulations.

  • Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping, jigs & fixtures design, or testing setups.

  • Knowledge of tolerance analysis tools or PLM/PDM systems
